The past 15 years of my creative journey have been spent as a wedding & portrait photographer in Kansas City. In the past couple years I have taken my passion for visual storytelling into the realm of abstract painting, where the spontaneity of colors and rhythm of textures from nature are my main subject. There's a unique thrill to me in the blending of colors until they resonate in harmony on the canvas, and in the process of layering paint that gives each piece distinct character and depth. This evolution in my artistic practice reflects my ongoing quest to capture and convey the incredible beauty of the world around us.
Your presence matters.
Life is filled with so many moments that are jam-packed with meaning and beauty, isn’t it? And yet, how often I find myself hurrying around with important tasks and to-do’s that I miss the beauty in the mundane. This longing to be fully present is what draws me to paint. It’s a time of casting aside the worries of the day and letting my intuition guide my color choices and brushstrokes.
It is my hope that my paintings on your walls do the same for you - cause you to pause, to notice the intricacies of all the beauty around you, both in your home and in the relationships with those around you.
